SASL Client Training Program
Patricia Boyle Consulting initially contracted Innisfree Design to complete the creative and graphic design work for the "Client Training Program" developed for Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans. This included the design and layout of manuals, a series of supporting posters and a series of ten animated videos.
The project's target audience is primarily female, ages 9-25, with low literacy from rural, villages in Ghana. While the print materials included very descriptive information the wall charts and the animated videos needed to portray the concepts of entrepreneurship with as few words as possible and no voiceover.
One of my favourite parts of this contract was the opportunity to create a series of animated videos. I had to re-familiarize myself to the technology as a lot has changed since I was in college but, it was worth it to be able to create the illustrations and make these simple, but effective animations that support the client training program. Each video had to be 3-5 minutes and outline, with as few words as possible, the important factors of the training, ie. Hiring the Right Person, Working Capital, Fraud Management, etc. The videos feature a main character named “Ama” and follow her as she applies her training to build and grow her bakery.
There was a series of 40 supporting posters, featuring similar illustrations from the animated series and highlighting important information from the training.
